a. It is important to note that PhilShopping.com reserves the right to refuse honoring any credit card payment if its Transaction Fraud Detection System deems the applicable transaction as being unsecured, in risk of fraud or when the card holder fails to confirm their identity and provide consent to the transaction.

b. When you go to a retail establishment to purchase using your credit card or when you apply for mobile phone plans at telecom companies using your credit card, such establishments require the physical presence of card owners, proofs of identity such as valid identification cards, billing statements and etc. Similarly with PhilShopping.com and although the customer is not physically present; and as a matter of customer security and anti-fraud policy for non-face-to-face transactions, PhilShopping.com thoroughly screens all order payments made using Credit Cards. After a customer pays for his/her order using a credit card, the issuing bank of the credit card used sends PhilShopping.com and the customer a notice of the transaction. Subsequently, if the card issuing bank requires further validation of card holder identity or flags the transaction as potentially fraudulent or high risk, PhilShopping.com shall require the credit card holder to confirm their identity by sending a recent copy (within the last 2 months) of the credit card billing statement of the credit card used for paying the applicable order with PhilShopping.com. Other forms of billing statements such as utility bills will not be honored. Transactions will not be processed, order will not be dispatched for delivery and the credit card will not be charged unless the actual credit card owner will be able to confirm their consent to the transaction and identity.

c. Scanned copies of Credit card billing statements (within the last 2 months) should ONLY be sent to PhilShopping.com’s Anti-Fraud Team via facsimile to 02.310-2842 or email verify     @     philshopping.com. You are encouraged to give us a call at our customer support hotline 02.569-5551 to obtain immediate phone confirmation of our receipt of your email or facsimile communication. If successful, you will also receive an email confirmation of our receipt of your facsimile or email transmission. Rest-assured your credit card statement’s authenticity will only be evaluated by our Anti-Fraud Team and will immediately be disposed securely.
